Once work started to expand Emilio set up business in Peel Street Nth as a one man show. He built playground equipment for local Councils as well as agricultural machinery. It wasn’t long before the business expanded to the point where he purchased a block of land in Sutton Street and built his own shed.
Over the years he employed numerous locals along with his sons Ric and Stefan who completed apprenticeships there. Both sons went their own way over the years and eventually Emilio retired in the early 1990’s. He passed away in 2013 at age 84.
Ric took over the name and continued trading as Carli Engineering in two separate sheds in Laidlaw Drive Delacombe. Eventually Carli Engineering moved to its new and much larger location in Raydon Court where it continues business in its current format.
Ric’s business partner Brian retired at the end of 2015 and his brother Stefan came back into the business.
